The ports of Las Palmas and Tenerife, Spain’s leading commercial ports, have always considered the needs of cruising sailors as important as those of any other mariners.
Poised at the crossroads of the Atlantic, where yachts from Europe, the Mediterranean and America congregate, they are the ideal ports to prepare for the transatlantic crossing. Both ports geographically located in Africa offer a first class service for bunkering, drydocking, spare parts, chandlery, crew changes, cash to master, etc.
Given their geographical location and their physical geography, the Canary Islands possess the ideal climate and conditions for sailing. The sea currents, the winds, the layout of the land and the geographical latitude all bear an influence on the climate of all of the islands and on Gran Canaria in particular, to such an extent that the island is called “a miniature continent.”
Incargo S.L. was founded in 1989 by Jaime Pastor (Snr) and is a family owned company. As a shipping and chartering agency, Incargo operates in all the Spanish ports including the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Portuguese ports and Chile.
Every year Incargo facilitates about 600 ships, mainly cruise ships and superyachts.
The Port Authority of Las Palmas is dedicating a new area in the port which will be used only for yachts repairs and their berth. This area will be only for yachts and super yachts, where they can carry out all type of operations such as repairs, bunker deliveries and long port stays. The area will cover around 25.000 M2 for the dry docking and many companies are planning to cooperate opening their own branch offices in this area.

Our head office for all the Canary Islands is the Las Palmas office. At present Incargo is the first agency to attend to superyachts in Las Palmas and Tenerife. Through Incargo’s sister company, we also operate a ship chandlery and logistics company.
Similarly Incargo S.L. has worked in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Morocco and Portugal for the superyacht Itasca, helping at all these ports with the supply of bunker and lubricants, as well as providing the amounts of cash requested by the master of the yacht.
With our in-house knowledge of local services available we are able to provide full information on the facilities provided and advise on any client requirements. We also provide a 24-hour service to yachts calling for bunkers, delivery of spare parts and crew changes.
